Fresh Water Data Commons
From ideation to implementation, a Digital Supercluster initiative with CDS, TECK, Microsoft, UVic, GBC and LLC
FlowH20 is a Canadian initiative that aims to mitigate the effects of the global water crisis by digitizing strategic water bodies to offer a real-time view of ecosystem health and better inform water use, conservation, and management. This flexible, affordable and scalable system will analyze and process large amounts of water quality data to understand immediate water management needs. This suite of technologies, including a technological platform, data sets and tools to utilize the data, will position Canada at the forefront of water resource management excellence.

Over 4.4 million people in Central America are facing acute food insecurity and that the effects of COVID-19 will accelerate the numbers if a holistic solution is not found. This will exacerbate issues of social exclusion and inequality, lack of productivity and a major slow down in the economy and economic integration. Our solution will use technology and innovation to enable decision making processes on timely and effective communication and collaboration, territorial-scale regenerative applications, merge siloed data to develop real-time action heat maps, provide capacity building tools for local food production and supply chains, and encourage job creation through training and technological models.
